IDAL lobbies for priority reforms to support the growth of e-commerce in Lebanon Past

IDAL’ s Chairman Dr. Mazen Soueid along with HE Mr. Raoul Nehme, Minister of Economy and Trade, visited the headquarters and fulfillment center of The Net Holding (NTH) in Karantina. The E-commerce process and supply chain were discussed in order to identify quick wins and priority reforms that can turn Lebanon into a regional hub for e-commerce in the Levant region.
This visit comes at a critical point in time where Lebanese companies are in urgent need to increase their access to new markets and increase market share through traditional and non-traditional means of export such as e-commerce.

IDAL supports the organization of Arabnet in Beirut Past

IDAL sponsored the tenth edition of the ArabNet Conference held on June 12, 2019 under the auspices of the President of the Lebanese Republic, as part of its strategy to support the IT sector and its growth. The conference included keynote speakers and roundtable discussions with leaders in the technology industry. The event also included matchmaking opportunities for Lebanese startups and ICT companies in Lebanon to meet potential buyers and partners from other countries.

IDAL supports the Media and Film industry in Cannes Film Festival Past

IDAL, in partnership with Fondation Liban Cinema (FLC) and the Lebanese Office du Tourisme in Paris, supported local filmmakers to participate in the Lebanese pavilion in the Cannes film festival between May 17-28 2017. Also, IDAL supported LEBANON FACTORY 2017 which showcased 4 short films co-directed by 4 talented Lebanese young directors. Four Lebanese young directors (Ahmad Ghossein, Mounia Akl, Shirin Abou Chacra, and Rami Kodeih) were chosen and invited to co-write and co-direct 4 short movies with 4 other non-Lebanese directors. The world premiere screening of these films was held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the Théâtre Croisette in Cannes.
